Presentation of the ASSETs+ Project at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia

Last Friday September 16th, our partner Dorota Stadnicka, from the Rzeszów University of Technology, presented the ASSETs+ project to teachers, researchers and PHD students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

During the meeting, the objectives and main results of the ASSETs+ project were presented.

The ASSETs+ main goal is to design and develop education and training programmes, from their prototyping to replication in other contexts,  to provide trainees with new skills related to key technologies that will be expected in the Defence sector in the coming years, more particularly Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, C4ISTAR and Cybersecurity. 

The courses are designed for: Professionals working in Defence and AeroSpace Industry (up-skilling and re-skilling activities), University Students (3rd year of Licence and 1st year of Master) and Graduate University Students (2nd year of Master) and can participate partners of the ASSETs+ consortium and associated stakeholders. The presentation ended with an invitation to the students of the University of Ljubljana to take part in the ASSETs+ European Defence Challenge III edition, an open competition to attract young talent to the Defence industry and to encourage them to initiate a career in defence-related technologies. The organizer of this edition is Rzeszów University of Technology and the TOPIC is: “Security – threats identification and defence strategies”. Next October 3rd will take place the launch event of the third edition of the Challenge. More information here.
