Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Applied Cybersecurity (CyberMACS)

This Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Applied Cybersecurity (CyberMACS) prepares future cybersecurity experts to detect, prevent, mitigate, and manage cyber-attacks. The students will be trained on basics of cybersecurity in the first year at Kadir HAS University (Istanbul), which will be followed by a two month compulsory industrial training.

After that the students will continue on a specialisation track in either:

  • SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences (Germany), where they can focus on one of the following: Advanced Technologies in Cybersecurity (30 ECTS), Cyber Security Management (30 ECTS), Long-Term Practical Training (30 ECTS);
  • Cyril and Methodius University, UKIM (Skopje, North Macedonia), where they can focus on either Web & Cybersecurity (30 ECTS) or Cryptology (30 ECTS).

Thematic Scope
The covered topics include web and security; the socio-economic and legal issues relating to cybersecurity; the implementation of cybersecurity tools and norms within large and small organisations; security awareness and security escalations issues; data exploration methods; tools and techniques for systems security; cryptology research and data management.

Costs
About one third of students will be required to pay €5175 tuition fees for the whole programme, while one third is eligible for tuition fee and registration fee waivers. The final third will be eligible for Erasmus Mundus scholarships based on merit, amounting to €1400 /month for the duration of the studies

Possible career paths for CyberMACS graduates include: cybersecurity expert, cybersecurity analyst, data protector, cybersecurity vulnerability assessor, security architect or product integrator, system penetration tester, incidence response expert, cryptographer, malware analyst, application security expert.
