Intelligent Field Robotic Systems (IFROS)

30 January 2020/in fiches, Postgraduate studies, Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Artificial Intelligence /by Fransisca Tena

Erasmus Mundus joint master in Intelligent Field Robotic Systems (IFROS) offers an engineering programme for future developers of field robots. Integration of technologies like AI, computer vision, control, sensorization, machine learning, and manipulation. The masters’ program addresses the shortage of engineers in field robotics development.

Students will spend the first two semsters at the University of Girona to build a common foundation in field robotics with a focus on land and marine robots.

In the third semester, they will be able to choose between specialisations in:

  • multiple robots and aerial vehicles (University of Zagreb, Croatia), and;
  • autonomous systems and self-driving land vehicles (Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary).

The degree will be finalised with a thesis project, which the students can complete at any of the consortium universities or associated partners (industry stakeholders like NATO, GRAAL Tech, or Coronis Computing).
