European cybersecurity network and competence centre

15 January 2020/in Cybersecurity, fiches, Policy /by Fransisca Tena

The ECCC has an essential role in the digital Europe programme (set up under Regulation (EU) 2021/694) and contributes to Horizon Europe.

It creates a framework for increasing and coordinating investments in cybersecurity between the European Union (EU), EU Member States and, indirectly, industry.

Goal
The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) aims to increase Europe’s cybersecurity capacities and competitiveness. It works together with a Network of National Coordination Centres (NCCs) to build a strong cybersecurity community. It implements relevant parts of the Digital Europe and Horizon Europe programmes by allocating grants and carrying out procurements.
