The special Issue “Rethinking Skills and Innovation in the Digital Transformation Era” seeks to revisit historically relevant themes such as the organisation and management of industrial research, industrial collaborations, inter-firm collaboration, managing creativity, innovation policies, to more recent research areas such as open innovation (OI), innovative strategies linked to collaborative experiences, business model innovation, absorptive capacity, strategic alliances, and finally, the influence of COVID-19 with skills as the key underpinning theme.
