Description of the course

Integrated Logistics Support Training covers many aspects of unified and iterative approach to the management and technical activities for operational and materiel requirements and design specifications for logistics support.  Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) is the management and technical process to integrate needs for logistic  support  into the design of a system or equipment  throughout its life cycle.

Objectives

Through this course, you will learn the necessary competencies, skills and knowledge about the process by which all elements of logistic support are planned, acquired, tested, and provided in a timely and cost-effective manner. Learn how integrated logistics support define the support requirements related to system design and development and acquiring the required support.

Pre-requisites

Familiarity with logistics concepts and their integrations within the life cycle of a product or system.

This programme is focused on:

  • Professionals working in the Defence and AeroSpace Industry (up-skilling and re-skilling activities) involved in the components engineering area, purchase department engineering area, industrial and design engineering area and
  • University undergraduate students

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify and use the documentation related to operations of maintenance of computer/devices/communications systems
  • Understand how to organize, manage and maintain all documents storage in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Understand how to maintain master log of all manuals, including electronic & troubleshoot
  • Manage the activities of one scheduled or one unscheduled maintenance program
  • Determine resource requirements
  • Demonstrate fault diagnosis techniques
  • Communicate maintenance progress and outcomes with designated personnel and authorities
  • Review the compliance and effectiveness of maintenance activities undertaken.
