The 5th edition of the European Defence Challenge is open. Register now!

The European Defence Challenge is an open competition that seeks to attract young talent to the defence industry and encourages them to start careers in defence-related technologies. The Challenge provides a platform for European students to engage with current issues in the defence sector by proposing innovative solutions.

This year’s Challenge, hosted by the Belgian Royal Military Academy, is themed “Towards a Safer Tomorrow: Multidisciplinary Approaches to Landmine Clearance and Security Enhancement.”

The launch event was streamed live on YouTube on April 30th and featured notable speakers including Ludivine Dedonder, Belgian Minister of Defence, as well as company experts and the winner of the last edition of the Challenge.

To date, students from 24 countries and 126 different institutions have participated in the four previous editions, reflecting the broad reach and impact of this initiative.

The European Defence Challenge was initially part of the ASSETs+ project and is set to continue.
